The Brass & Percussion ensemble is a large scale chamber group which focuses on the performance of repertoire especially written for this type of group. It is under the joint musical direction of Dr. Richard Human, Dr. Robert Damm and Mr. Michael Huff. This ensemble rehearses once a week and performs a large amount of music, therefore strong sight-reading abilities and critical listening skills are a must!
Past repertoire and current projects include works such as:
- Byrd, Earle of Oxford's March
- Gabrieli, Canzona per sonare No. 2
- Hazell, Brass Cats
- Husa, Divertimento for Brass & Percussion
- Purcell (Howarth), Trumpet Tune & Air
- Susato, Suite of Renaissance Dances
- Nelhybel, Chorale for Brass & Percussion
The sound of massed brass with percussion is a powerful and unique performance experience no brass performer or percussionist should do without!
