MSU Trombone Ensemble
MSU Trombone Ensemble

The MSU Trombone Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Richard Human, performs music ranging from the Renaissance to world premiers of commissioned works. The trombone ensemble has a rich and varied history, with original music reaching as far back as the 1500's. The MSU Trombone Ensemble acknowledges the past and also looks to the future of trombone performance by performing a wide array of literature.

Comprised of MSU students, faculty and communitty members, the ensemble rehearses once a week and performs several times a semester, both on and off campus. The group uses rotating seating so that members will have exposure to a variety of roles within the ensemble and gain experience in the unique challenges of low, middle and upper register playing.
