Here in the trumpet studio, we actively combine skills needed to perform in the various MSU ensembles with tools needed to explore our individual artistic needs, leading us to the ability to satisfy a wide variety of musical goals.
We focus on developing very strong fundamental skills that benefit us in terms of beauty of sound and unfaltering technique for the immediate future. This becomes the foundation for skills needed for a life long dedication to performing and teaching the trumpet or horn.
Students take part in weekly lessons, regularly scheduled studio classes, State's NEW Daily Brass Warm-Up, frequent and varied performance opportunities and interaction with world-class visiting guest artists.
