Sheree Gardner Lence holds a B. M. in performance from the University of Memphis and a M. M. from the University of Mississippi. Her postgraduate work includes studies at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music where she studied horn with Michael Hatfield.

In addition to instructing horn students at MSU, Ms. Lence teaches horn and trumpet at Itawamba Community College and performs regularly with the Tupelo Symphony, the Brass Managerie and the Golden Triangle Brass.
