Master of Music Education
MSU's Master of Music Education program is both unique and practical, designed to fit into the busy lives of current music teachers. It is a hybrid program (a combination of summer and online courses) designed to support music professionals in the advancement of both their pedagogical and musical skills. Included in the degree is performance practice, conducting, pedagogy, curriculum, music theory, history, and the essentials of research in music education.
Degree Information
- The Choral and Elementary tracks are summer programs designed to be completed in three consecutive summers.
- The Instrumental track is a summer program designed to be completed in a five-week term (June) during three consecutive summers, and ten credits of hybrid classes.
- The MME consists of 32 credits.
- Courses are taught by experienced faculty with years of successful classroom experience.
