Music Theory Professor James Sobaskie presents in France
Professor James Sobaskie presented his music research at the peer-reviewed Colloque Gabriel Fauré–Théodore Dubois: Perspectives et héritages 2024 on November 6, 2024, in Paris. Appearing at the Opéra-Comique – which once hosted the premières of Bizet’s Carmen and Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande – Dr. Sobaskie spoke on “Fauré’s singularity” just after the conference’s keynote address.
Professor Sobaskie’s presentation was enabled by support from the Mississippi State University’s Department of Music, College of Education, and Office of Research and Economic Development, plus the help of Professor Rosângela Sebba, Professor Rebekah Schultz, and Mrs. Jennifer Winter.
